BATEXPO 2011: THE
TWENTY YEARS OF SUCCESS
It is my immense
pleasure to inform that the 22nd
edition of the Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exposition (BATEXPO)
is going to take place from 10-12 December, 2011 at the Bangabandhu
International Conference Center (BICC), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka,
Bangladesh. BATEXPO is one of the largest expositions in the
Asia-Pacific region which is annually organized by BGMEA since 1989.
On behalf of BGMEA. I cordially welcome
all interested
businessmen, stakeholders, well-wishers, and other interested groups
and individuals both at home
and abroad to participate and visit the exposition and enjoy the
mega event.
With the passage of almost three
decades the readymade garment (RMG) industry in Bangladesh has
secured its own position in the global market with supremacy which
is the largest foreign currency earner for the country in recent
years. The resurgence of industrial growth is being the major
forefront by the RMG sector. The industry has transfigured the
country both at the economic and social front by pioneering
industrialization, employment generation, engaging women in formal
employment, poverty mitigation and thus meaningfully contributing to
gender parity. “Made in Bangladesh” is now a symbol of quality and
trust among the people across the globe and we are committed to
strive for upholding the supremacy we achieved.
Ever since BGMEA started to organize
this mega event, BATEXPO has become a coalescence of the apparel
manufacturers, buyers and business personalities. The three-day
exposition holds informative seminars, fashion show and cultural
programs to acquaint the visitors with our industry, economy,
fashion and cultural heritage. I believe this year the BATEXPO would
play an important role to sustain our growth and share, particularly
in this situation of global economic crisis. As a matter of fact
BGMEA has been relentlessly working to explore new and potential
markets all over the world and we are expecting the presence of a
good number of new buyers this year.
On behalf of the Board of Directors

their hard work and co-operation to organize this mega exposition in
such an impressive manner.
