Chief Co-Ordinator Message Bangladesh Garment Manufactures and Exporters Association (BGMEA) is pleased to announce that CAFAXPO-2012 (Chittagong Apparels, Fabric & Accessories Exposition) is scheduled to be held on 19, 20 & 21 January’2012 for the 10th consecutive time. This is an also annual event of BGMEA Chittagong Regional office. This exclusive fair gives our valuable Buyers, Investor & Visitors from home & abroad to see the wide range of apparels produces by our entrepreneurs. The goal of this fair is to promote effective connectivity among the players of the apparels supply chain, specially involved with the local manufactures and exporters. Bangladesh as a RMG manufactures & exporters country, plays leading role in the Global Apparels Market, At present, Bangladesh is in 3rd position as RMG exporter to U.S.A market. The country has experienced higher export growth, 46% to 50% in the last fiscal year (2010-2011), earned 18 billion US Dollar & expected to earn 25 billion US Dollar in the on going fiscal year. Chittagong is the port city and the official commercial capital of Bangladesh as well as gate way of our import / export, shares about 40% of the country’s apparel export. Most of the big RMG companies are located in Chittagong. Globally renowned buyers are also sourcing from vendors & manufactures of apparels products from Chittagong. To meet the growing interest of the international as well as local participants in apparels supply chain, we are increasing the fair facilities every year in respect of area, number of stalls and other facilities. We are confident, it will satisfy our fair participants with diversity.
