Request for Proposal to conduct a study on “Skills
Development & Employment in Bangladesh RMG Sector”
BGMEA is pleased to request for proposal from the prospective and qualified consulting firms/agencies to conduct a study on Skills Development & Employment in Bangladesh Readymade Garment (RMG) sector. The study should broadly include the existing skills shortage and future skills demand in the garment industry. This will also analyze the various ongoing skills development initiatives and identify the extent to which a consolidated skills development initiative is required to support the future progression of the industry. The study should look into the matter from a holistic perspective which should include an in-depth analysis on the growth potential of RMG industry and employment, role of the key stakeholders, relevant national and international policy analyses and other relevant issues. Interested consulting firms/agencies are requested to submit both technical and financial proposal in line with the TOR in a standard format in hard copies - 3 sets (not by mail) addressed to Umme Saira, Coordinator of this study, BGMEA, BGMEA Complex, 23/1 Panthapath Link Road Karwan Bazar, Dhaka-1215. The proposal must be submitted no later than 12 September, 2011.
