A doa mahfil was organized in Dhaka on 05 January, 2026, by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh in memory of former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia. Members of the BGMEA Board of Directors attended the prayer program.

Those present at the event included BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Vice President Md. Rezwan Selim, Vice President (Finance) Mijanur Rahman, Director Faisal Samad, Director Majumdar Arifur Rahman, and Director Samiha Azim.

While recalling the memories of Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia at the doa mahfil, BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan highlighted her outstanding role in Bangladesh’s industrialization and economic development. He particularly mentioned, with deep respect, her unforgettable contributions to the growth of the country’s garment industry.
