At the IFC Roundtable on Women’s Opportunities in Climate-Smart RMG, Vidiya Amrit Khan, Vice President of BGMEA, joined industry leaders to share her thoughts on the role of women in driving the green transition of Bangladesh’s RMG sector. The discussion was organized on 26 August 2025. 

Vidiya Amrit Khan shed light on the current scenario of women in green jobs, the barriers they face, and how role models can inspire greater participation. 

She also stressed upon the challenges of access to finance for women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh in general and how they need a collateral and guarantor. 

Vidiya Amrit Khan emphasized the importance of shared responsibility across the supply chain to build a more inclusive and climate-smart industry. 

She thanked IFC for the important initiative.
