Representatives of the Buyers Forum and leaders of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) held a meeting in Dhaka on 27 January 2026. 

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in various areas to facilitate long-term sustainability and growth of the ready-made garment sector.

BGMEA was represented by Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Vice President Md. Rezwan Selim, Vice President Vidya Amrit Khan, along with directors Faisal Samad and Nafis-Ud-Doula.

Discussions centered on the current situation of the RMG industry, key priorities to sustain growth momentum, and measures to enhance the global competitiveness of Bangladesh’s apparel sector. 

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued and closer collaboration to address emerging challenges and opportunities.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work together to ensure a more resilient, competitive, and sustainable apparel supply chain in the years ahead.
