Aman Group, the globally renowned Germany-based industrial yarn manufacturer, is expanding its business operations and factory facilities in Bangladesh. The announcement was made during a bilateral meeting held on 23 May 2026 at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara between BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan and an Aman Group delegation led by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Markus Nicolaus.

The meeting focused on the capabilities of Bangladesh’s ready-made garment industry, current challenges in the international market, and various strategic aspects of future investment. BGMEA Director Md. Hasib Uddin was also present at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan said that Bangladesh’s apparel industry is currently undergoing a major transformation. “We are placing strong emphasis on product diversification. However, our current goal is not only to increase export volume, but also to produce higher-value garments,” he said.

He further stated that Aman Group could support Bangladesh’s apparel sector not only as a yarn supplier, but also as a strategic business partner in many ways.

The BGMEA President also mentioned that there are many renowned German brands that are still not sourcing garments from Bangladesh. He requested Aman Group CEO Markus Nicolaus to present the remarkable transformation and capabilities of Bangladesh’s apparel industry to those German brands and encourage them to start sourcing from Bangladesh.

Announcing the company’s factory expansion plans in Bangladesh, Aman Group CEO Markus Nicolaus said that the future of Bangladesh’s apparel industry is highly promising. “We are closely observing which additional sectors offer new investment opportunities. In particular, there is significant potential for investment in Bangladesh’s high-tech textile sector,” he said.

He also noted that Aman Group aims to serve the premium segment of the market through its products, catering to the demands of high-end international brands.

It is worth mentioning that the German international yarn manufacturing company is currently operating in Bangladesh through Aman Bangladesh Limited.

Welcoming Aman Group’s new investment and factory expansion decision, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan assured full strategic cooperation from BGMEA.
