রুফটপ সোলারে যাচ্ছে শিল্প দেশের শিল্প-কারখানা ও বাণিজ্যিক প্রতিষ্ঠানে রুফটপ সোলারের (ছাদভিত্তিক সৌরবিদ্যুৎ) ব্যবহার দ্রুত বাড়ছে। গ্রিডের বিদ্যুতের তুলনায় কম খরচ, জ্বালানি সরবরাহে অনিশ্চয়তা, শিল্প-কারখানায় গ্যাসের সংকট এবং ডিজেলচালিত জেনারেটরের উচ্চ ব্যয়ের কারণে রুফটপ সোলার এখন শিল্প খাতে আকর্ষণীয় বিকল্প হয়ে উঠেছে।বিশেষ করে দিনে শিল্প-কারখানার বিদ্যুতের চাহিদার একটি বড় অংশ ছাদভিত্তিক সৌরবিদ্যুতের মাধ্যমে পূরণ করা সম্ভব হওয়ায় এ খাতে বিনিয়োগ বাড়ছে। সংশ্লিষ্ট সূত্রে জানা গেছে, বর্তমানে শিল্প-কারখানায় গ্রিড থেকে সরবরাহ করা বিদ্যুতের সর্বোচ্চ ব্যয় প্রতি ইউনিট ১১ টাকা ৫৬ পয়সা। এর বিপরীতে ছাদভিত্তিক সৌরবিদ্যুতের ক্যাপেক্স মডেলে প্রতি ইউনিট বিদ্যুতের খরচ পড়ছে মাত্র চার থেকে সাড়ে চার টাকা। আর অপেক্স মডেলে প্রতি ইউনিটের খরচ সাত থেকে আট টাকার মধ্যে।

RMG exports to EU decline sharply despite June recovery Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Mahmud Hasan Khan has previously attributed the decline in EU-bound exports to weak global demand and rising competitiveness pressures. He said volatile global conditions, US reciprocal tariffs, high bank interest rates, poor port operations and uncertainty over LDC graduation were affecting Bangladesh's apparel exports. "Tariffs, wars and geopolitics have eaten up global demand, causing a decline in work orders," he said, adding that the key issue for Bangladesh was competitiveness in a squeezed global market.

Export diversification gains policy momentum Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Director Mohammed Sohel said the government had taken several positive measures, including pursuing an FTA with Japan, providing financial packages for the RMG sector and increasing policy support for struggling factories. “These measures could help exporters expand into new markets and remain competitive. The government’s initiatives are positive for export-oriented sectors. But many challenges remain in the industries and those should be resolved quickly. However, speedy implementation is now crucial,” he said. Mohiuddin Rubel, founder of Bangladesh Apparel Voice and a former BGMEA director, also welcomed the government’s initiatives, particularly the bilateral trade agreements. “We expect that the country’s exports will increase if the agreements are ratified properly in coming days,” he said.

সৌরবিদ্যুৎ সরঞ্জাম আমদানিতে শুল্ক-কর সুবিধা নিশ্চিত করার নির্দেশ সৌরবিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের প্রয়োজনীয় সরঞ্জাম আমদানিতে সরকার ঘোষিত শুল্ক-কর সুবিধা নিশ্চিত করতে মাঠপর্যায়ের কাস্টমস হাউজ ও এলসি স্টেশনগুলোকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছে জাতীয় রাজস্ব বোর্ড (এনবিআর)। সৌরবিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদনের প্রয়োজনীয় সরঞ্জাম আমদানিতে সরকার ঘোষিত শুল্ক-কর সুবিধা নিশ্চিত করতে মাঠপর্যায়ের কাস্টমস হাউজ ও এলসি স্টেশনগুলোকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছে জাতীয় রাজস্ব বোর্ড (এনবিআর)পাশাপাশি সৌর প্যানেল ও ইনভার্টারের এইচএস কোড নিয়ে কোনো বিভ্রান্তি থাকলেও নির্ধারিত শর্ত পূরণ সাপেক্ষে আমদানিকারকদের সুবিধা দেওয়ার কথা জানিয়েছে সংস্থাটি। এনবিআরের রাজস্ব ভবন থেকে আজ সোমবার ( ১৭ আগস্ট) জারি করা এক পরিপত্রে এসব নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়।

আন্তমন্ত্রণালয় সভা: শাহজালালে কার্গোজট কাটাতে ১১ ওয়্যারহাউস হযরত শাহজালাল আন্তর্জাতিক বিমানবন্দরে কার্গো পণ্য খালাসের জটিলতা নিরসনে অস্থায়ী ও স্থায়ী ওয়্যারহাউস নির্মাণের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে। অস্থায়ী ওয়্যারহাউসের জন্য সাতটি এবং স্থায়ী ওয়্যারহাউসের জন্য চারটি সম্ভাব্য স্থান চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে ওষুধসহ তাপমাত্রা সংবেদনশীল পণ্য দ্রুত আমদানি-রপ্তানির জন্য বিমানবন্দরে কোল্ডস্টোরেজ অবকাঠামো নির্মাণের বিষয়ে গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে। গতকাল সোমবার সচিবালয়ে বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের সম্মেলনকক্ষে বাংলাদেশ ও ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের (ইইউ) সঙ্গে বাণিজ্য ও বিনিয়োগ সম্প্রসারণে বিমানবন্দরের কার্গো হ্যান্ডলিং সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি ও ওয়্যারহাউস নির্মাণ বিষয়ে আন্তমন্ত্রণালয় সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। বাণিজ্যমন্ত্রী খন্দকার আব্দুল মুক্তাদিরের সভাপতিত্বে সভায় বেসামরিক বিমান পরিবহন ও পর্যটনমন্ত্রী আফরোজা খানম উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সভায় কার্গো ব্যবস্থাপনার সীমাবদ্ধতা দ্রুত দূর করার ওপর গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়।

12th death anniv of Mosharraf Hossain today The 12th death anniversary of Muhammad Mosharraf Hossain, a renowned business leader, philanthropist, and prominent politician, will be observed today (Tuesday) , says a statement. Three time-elected parliament member from the Feni-3 constituency, Mosharraf Hossain had made extensive contributions to the national policy, the garment sector, manpower sector and regional development until his death on August 18, 2014. He led the apex trade bodies as president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and the Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA). He headed the Greater Noakhali Samity as well.
