Three-day Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exposition (BATEXPO) 2014 has started today at Saint Denis in Paris. BATEXPO is being held outside the country for the first time.
At 11:00 am local time, Bangladesh ambassador to France M. Shahidul Islam inaugurated the expo. President of France-Bangladesh Economic Chamber KaziEnayetUllah, Directors of BGMEA KhandokerRafiqul Islam and Syed Sadek Ahmed, and former Director of French-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Syed Moazzam Hossainalso spoke at the inauguration session which was presided over by Minhajul Islam, Chief Co-coordinator of BATEXPO in Paris 2014.
A good number of buyers and retailers’ representatives have visited the expo on the first day.
A total of 55 garment and textile manufacturing units of Bangladesh are participating in the expo.
The expo will be ended on September 18.
BGMEA President Md. Atiqul Islam will be joining the fair from tomorrow and will be present in closing ceremony.
