A meeting of the UD Verification and Support Committee was held under the chairmanship of Kanchan Rani Dutta, Additional Commissioner, Customs Bond Commissionerate, Dhaka (North). BGMEA Director Kazi Mizanur Rahman represented BGMEA at the meeting.

Kazi Mizanur Rahman urged the concerned authorities to ensure that garment exporters face no form of harassment during UD audit and verification activities.

He noted that Bangladesh’s RMG industry is currently passing through a challenging period, with entrepreneurs facing multiple pressures alongside various global market challenges. He cautioned that any unnecessary harassment or complications in the name of UD verification or audits could adversely affect the industry.

He emphasized the need to conduct UD verification in a business-friendly and collaborative environment, ensuring proper oversight and regulatory compliance while avoiding disruption to the normal operations of the export-oriented garment industry.
