Today, a delegation from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) distributed relief supplies to 500 affected families in the flood-hit areas of Fulghazi and Parshuram upazilas in Feni district.
BGMEA Directors Majumdar Arifur Rahman and Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini handed out the relief materials. The relief items included rice, lentils, soybean oil, onions, potatoes, salt, puffed rice, jaggery, turmeric, and chili powder.
During the distribution, BGMEA Director Majumdar Arifur Rahman said, “The garment industry is not only the driving force of the economy but also committed to fulfilling social responsibilities. BGMEA pledges to stand by helpless people during any difficult time in the nation’s life.”
Director Dr. Rashid Ahmed Hossaini added, “BGMEA will continue to support the people during any future disasters in the country.”
Local administration and prominent individuals were present during the relief distribution. The people affected by the flood and local representatives expressed their appreciation for BGMEA’s initiative.
