In response to the humanitarian disaster caused by the devastating earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan on 1 September 2025, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has extended its support to the affected Afghan people.

BGMEA has donated 2,000 garments for the victims of this disaster.

Today, BGMEA’s Acting Secretary Major Md. Saiful Islam, psc, CSCM (Retd.), handed over the donated garments to Lieutenant Commander Fariduzzaman Khan, GSO-2 (Navy) of Joint Operations, Armed Forces Division, Prime Minister’s Office.

Also present at the handover ceremony were BGMEA Senior Additional Secretary (Crisis Management) Munsur Khaled and other senior officials.
