GIZ organized a day-long “Dissemination Workshop on Sustainability Business Cases Related to Water, Chemicals, and Energy” at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View.
The workshop was attended by BGMEA Vice President Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury, Director Enamul Aziz Chowdhury, Gundolf Klaehn, representatives from the apparel industry, and other stakeholders.
In his remarks, Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury emphasized that sustainability is no longer just a compliance requirement but a business necessity for maintaining global competitiveness. He highlighted the importance of preparing factories for emerging Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) requirements and integrating sustainability practices across the entire value chain.
The workshop featured presentations and discussions by local and international experts on practical sustainability solutions related to water, chemicals, and energy efficiency.
