On 04 May 2026, the official inauguration of the “BGMEA Md. Riazulddin Day-Care Centre” was held at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, aiming to ensure the safety and proper care of the children of BGMEA officials and employees.

BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan inaugurated the day-care centre on Monday. The event was attended by BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Vice President Md. Rezwan Selim, Vice President (Finance) Mijanur Rahman, Vice President Shehab Udduza Chowdhury, Directors Shah Rayeed Chowdhury and Mohammed Sohel, and BGMEA Acting Secretary Major Md. Saiful Islam, psc, cscm (Retd.), along with other officials and employees.

In his remarks, President Mahmud Hasan Khan said that BGMEA employees are the main driving force of the organization. Considering the safety and proper development of children of working parents, especially mothers and fathers, this modern day-care centre has been established. He added that it will allow employees to work with greater peace of mind and focus while their children remain in a safe environment.

The day-care centre has been designed with modern facilities suitable for children’s play and early learning. It includes experienced caregivers and a clean environment to support children’s physical and mental development.

The President and BGMEA leaders also inspected the rooms and facilities of the centre. Employees appreciated the initiative, saying that such a quality in-house day-care facility brings significant relief to their working lives.

BGMEA continues to implement various welfare initiatives to ensure a more employee-friendly working environment for its workforce.
