BGMEA President meets Security Services Division Secretary

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan has sought the support of the Home Ministry in getting quicker and smoother security clearance services, especially regarding issuance of passports and work permit for the RMG entrepreneurs, staff and foreign nationals working in the RMG sector.

He also called for ensuring faster security clearance services and on-arrival visa for international buyers who wish to visit Bangladesh for business meetings. 

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan made the call during his meeting with Md. Abdullah Al Masud Chowdhury, Secretary, Security Services Division, Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat in Dhaka on July 21.

BGMEA Vice President Md. Nasir Uddin, and Secretary General of BGMEA Md. Faizur Rahman were also present at the meeting.

Faruque Hassan said when international buyers find easy and smooth services for coming to Bangladesh for their business meetings, it creates a positive impression among them about the country.

Having such kind of impression is crucial in creating positive branding of Bangladesh, he added. 

The BGMEA President also said support of all stakeholders, especially the government is required to realize the immense potential that lie ahead of the RMG industry.
