On December 01 2025, BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan participated as a distinguished panelist at the discussion titled “Green Economy: Bangladesh’s Apparel Journey of Compliance as a Competitive Advantage”, organized by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce in Dhaka yesterday. 

Highlighting the remarkable strides of Bangladesh’s apparel industry in environmental sustainability, he emphasized the importance of continued support from the government, brands, and development partners to maintain this momentum.

He particularly underscored the need for easier access to green financing, brands’ support through knowledge sharing and technology transfer, targeted interventions from development partners for SMEs, and greater regional inclusion, so that areas like North Bengal, Sylhet, and Chattogram can benefit alongside Dhaka-centric clusters. 

Inamul Haq Khan also urged the government to amplify the industry’s success stories through Bangladesh’s Embassies and High Commissions abroad, showcasing the country’s achievements on the global stage.
