All conditions, criteria, and compliance requirements set for obtaining membership of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) must be duly fulfilled. Prior to granting membership, BGMEA ensures, through on-site inspections and thorough verification processes, that applicant factories meet the required standards so that member establishments maintain compliance accordingly.

With the aim of sustaining the continuous development of the apparel sector, a competency assessment was conducted for 27 officials engaged in membership verification and inspection activities. The initiative was carried out under the leadership and supervision of BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan. To enhance efficiency and quality, three BGMEA departments were restructured—dividing the Fire Safety & Engineering and Crisis Management departments into two segments—thereby strengthening the inspection mechanism.

Among the participants, the top five performers were awarded certificates of appreciation by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan on 08 April, 2026, who highlighted their crucial role in making the membership verification process more robust and professional. Also present at the event were BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Directors Majumdar Arifur Rahman, and Dr. Rashid Ahamed Hossaini.
