Comfit Composite lifted the trophy of the BGMEA Cup Football Tournament 2018 following a 3-2 win over defending champions Bando by Laila Group in tiebreaker of the final on 3 March.
The final match played at the Army Stadium in Dhaka saw a goalless draw in the regular time.
BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman handed over the trophies among the winners.
Former Presidents of the BGMEA Abdus Salam Murshedy and Md. Atiqul Islam, BGMEA Vice President SM Mannan (Kochi), Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, Vice President Mahmud Hasan Khan (Babu) and BGMEA Directors were present in the prize giving ceremony.
Polin of the champion team Comfit Knit Composite was named the man of the final match and the best custodian of the tournament. Mridul of Bando Design became the player of the tournament while Imran of Bando Design became the top scorer of the event netting ten goals. 
Earlier with the participations of 16 teams of garment manufacturers and exporters, the BGMEA Cup began on February 20.
The participating teams were Bando by Laila Group, Comfit Composite, Epyllion Group, Majumder Group, Musk Trousers, Ali Garments, Nassa Group, Ananta Group, Sterling Group, Apparel Industry, Mehnaz Styles and Craft, Self Innovative Fashion, Aspire Garments, Versatile Group, Torque Fashion and Fortis Group.
