Lend support to make positive impact on underprivileged: BGMEA President

Faruque Hassan, President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), has urged the affluent sections of society to join hands in supporting initiatives that make a tangible impact on the lives of the underprivileged.

He made the call while visiting the eye care camp organized by Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS) on January 15 to provide free eye care services to the underprivileged population in Saidpur.

Director of Giant Group Sharmeen Hassan Tithi was also present on the occasion.

The Eye Care Project, an initiative of MSS, provides a range of essential eye care services, encompassing the correction of refractive errors, provision of medications, and even surgical interventions, through eye camps for disadvantaged people.

Faruque Hassan praised the commendable efforts of MSS in addressing a critical healthcare need for the underserved people.

He remarked, “By offering free eye care services, MSS is not only enhancing the quality of life for individuals but also contributing to the broader well-being of the community.”

He mentioned the initiatives taken by BGMEA for the welfare of garment workers and disadvantaged people of society.
