The media can help brighten the image of the garment industry by projecting the sector’s developments, especially in the areas of safety and environmental sustainability, BGMEA President Md. Siddiqur Rahman said while addressing a program organized to mark the first anniversary of the Apparel News in Dhaka on 20 January.
Honorable Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, MP attended the program as chief guest.
BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mohammed Nasir, the Apparel News Advisory Editor Shyamal Dutta, Advisory Council member of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) Monjurul Ahsan Khan, and Editor and Publisher Amit K. Biswas, among others, were present on the occasion.
BGMEA thanked the Editor, Publisher and all journalists of the Apparel News for bringing out a newspaper on the garment industry.
