BGMEA, Center for Industrial Production (CIP) of Aalborg University and AhsanullahUniversity of Science and Technology (AUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on a research project entitled health, safety and productivity in the ready-made garment industry in Bangladesh.

BGMEA President Md. Atiqul Islam, Professor Peter Hasle of CIP, Aalborg University and Professor AMM Saifullah, Vice Chancellor, AUST inked the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

The aimof the MoU is to establish collaboration between BGMEA, CIP and AUST concerning improvement of productivity and occupational health and safety (OHS) in the RMG industry of Bangladesh.The project is funded by Danida.

BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Reaz Bin Mahmood and Denmark’s Ambassador to BangladeshHanne FuglEskjær were also present on the occasion.
