BGMEA signed a revised agreement with the Skills Development Coordination and Monitoring Unit (SDCMU) of the Finance Ministry for extension of the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP).
Mohammed Nasir, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA and Convener, BGMEA-SEIP and Abdur Rouf Talukder, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance and National Project Director,SEIP, SDCMU signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Jalal Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Executive Project Director, SEIP, and senior officials of SEIP were present at the contract signing ceremony held in Dhaka on 13 March.
Initially, this contract was signed on 13 April 2015 with a target to train total 43,800 trainees on RMG related subject. Now the same contract has been revised with a total target of 68,055 people. The contract period has been extended to 31 December 2020.
